I really like how my outfit turned out today. Yes, I am going to toot my own horn. I think this looks nice. Maybe you'll disagree, but that's ok, I still like it!
I got this sweater from my sister-in-law sort of as a birthday gift. She had bought it for herself and couldn't figure out what to do with it. She told me about it on Thanksgiving and said "I think I might give it to you. Maybe I'll even wrap it up and make it part of your present. You'll probably be able to figure out what to do with it better than I can." So I said "hey, give it to me if that's what you want to do!"
It is large and drapey, but I knew I could pair it with some things and have it look pretty nice. I had originally planned on mixing it with a skirt or dress, but practical me took over today and as I'm still recovering from my little cold, thought pants might be a better choice.
I did add some color today - a little red/maroon because there is a little red/maroon line in my plaid pants. I thought it would add a little contrast too so I didn't end up looking totally washed out.
Anyway, I'm already brainstorming on other ways I can wear this sweater, I think it'll actually be pretty versatile for me!
Rundown:
Red thermal - Decree, JCPenney
Sweater/wrap - TJMaxx, gifted from my sister-in-law
Pants - Maurices
Shoes - Target, thrifted from Unique Thrift Store
Necklace - Charming Charlie
Earrings - Stella and Dot

ReplyDeleteThis looks nice! The long sweater is really unexpected with those pants but it works great together!

Red is a pretty color on you.
ReplyDeleteHolyCow! I think this looks amazing. That sweater vest is so adorable and the star necklace - watch out, girl, I would totally borrow that from you. ^_~ Red is a really fantastic color for you. Maybe try layering the sweater over a dress? Especially like a shirt dress if you have one.
ReplyDeleteI love the drapey sweater-perfect for layering! I couldn't figure out the cognac colour but I think you nailed this look-maroon is fab on you!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that sweater! There is nothing better than a warm, comfy sweater for the cold weather :)
ReplyDeleteI think it will look great with a dress and tights, too!
You should toot your own horn; you look cute! I love that sweater--especially the texture in the front, it's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI agree. This is lovely. I love your sweater. It emphasizes your hourglass shape. It would look so cute with skinny jeans and boots too.:)
ReplyDeleteYou look good! :D
