I am a multi-tasker. I can play Words with Friends on my phone while poaching chicken breast for dinner on my stove. I can talk on the phone with someone while also chatting with someone online. I can fold laundry while catching up on the latest episode of Glee and I don't miss a thing. It's a skill that serves me well, especially working as an administrative assistant!
Last night it was raining - yes on February 15th it was raining. And that meant one thing, overnight it froze. So, my car was coated in a lovely layer of ice. I realized that I would be running way behind schedule if I did my blog pictures and then cleaned the car to go to work. So Multi-Tasker Me had a brainstorm - start the car and put the heat on full blast and while that's going on, take blog pictures! It worked out perfect! By the time I got in the car, very little scraping was needed. I'm pretty proud of myself and I wasn't late at all.
Speaking of multiples - I just wanted to remind everyone that there are multiple ways to follow my blog. This is not me begging for more followers - I just want to stay in touch and as of March 1st, if you are a non-Blogger user, Google Friend Connect is going away. I think it's really a silly thing that Google is doing, they're trying to force us all to use Google+. I'm not super impressed with Google+ so far. But anyway, if you are a Blogger user and want to follow via GFC - awesome, the link will still be at the right. However, I'm on Bloglovin as well, with a link to that in the right side column below GFC. You'll also find the link to my Facebook page as well. Or, go to the top tabs and follow me on Twitter if you wish as well, I usually tweet when my post goes up. And maybe you don't need any of these resources to follow or remember my blog - honestly it makes no difference to me, though typing in the whole long name of my blog is a lot of work too, so these tools do make it easier!
Anyway I so appreciate all of you who have followed via any of those options or who come here day in and day out even without the use of those tools. Your support and encouragement keeps me going!
Now back to blogging while listening to my favorite morning show and also reading work email and responding to various needs at the office. Just another average day!

I like the skirt. I am a good multitasker, but I never play Words with Friends since I am bad at Scrabble.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is super cute and very flattering on you! The jacket fits you like a glove and I can see it paired so many ways! Great find. And way to multi-task!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty good at multitasking, but not THAT good. I'm impressed by your skillz! I've been hearing something about HelloCotton.com lately for following blogs...I haven't looked into it myself, but it might be helpful once March 1st rolls around!
ReplyDeletei feel like i am multitasking all day long at work too, i can never complete one task before starting on something else! and i love those boots, beth!
ReplyDeleteI'm a total multitasker too. My husband can't stand it and also can't do it. I offered to make dinner the other night and I was explaining how to make the recipe he wanted to work with. I said things like, "Then while the mushrooms are cooking you can chop the broccoli", and that was too much for him. He actually had to watch the mushrooms cook the WHOLE time. I watch shows while I boil pasta, chop veggies, and reply to blog comments like every night! Haha. ANYWHO, great skirt!
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing at this stuff. This was fun to read. Very cute outfit on you. I bet you got compliments at work!!!Great boots! Dawn Suitcase Vignettes xo
ReplyDeletehaha...you're so funny! And great pictures too especially when it's taken in a jiffy. A true multi-tasker! I love your skirt, the length is so adorable and the black tights and long sleeve top are great accents too and the grey boots finished the outfit nicely!

Love your skirt and jacket.
ReplyDeleteGood idea with the heater! I convince myself every year that snow and ice never happen in the South and we all wind up spazzing out when it does rain and freeze.
I multitask as often as possible. I read books while watching tv, blog while.. watching tv.. and cook while doing everything and anything. Drives me bananas to sit and only do one thing.
Amazing outfit dear!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blog! Following! Follow back? <3
I've wanted to go to the Clothes Mentor! It's right next to my yoga studio! What's it like? Do they have any vintage? Do you have a fave location? Cute skirt!
ReplyDeleteI love Clothes Mentor! They don't do vintage - but they do have nice current brands at very reasonable prices (think LOFT, Gap, Express, etc.) It's super clean and they have everything from dressy clothes to jeans to jewelry, shoes and purses. I like the Roseville one the best. Also they often have sales or coupons in those circulars that come in the mail, which makes it even better!
DeleteYou look awesome in this outfit!! The houndstooth skirt is SO fun and I love the grey, white, black theme! lovely!
