So I swear these are two different photos, but man, I stood almost exactly the same. You could play the "What's Different" game with these pictures almost! Anyone remember that game? I know they used to have it in Highlights magazine when I was a kid. It was one of my favorites.
Anyway, I'm glad this outfit photographed better than I did the last time I tried to wear it. The last time I wore it I had to take indoor pictures and those never turn out quite right. I'm already dreading winter for that reason and it's only July!
Speaking of summer, I'm kind of going on a summer clothes shopping ban, but not until after this weekend. Yes, excuses, excuses, but there are a couple of local events I want to check out this weekend and I can't do that on a shopping ban! Band of Thrifters is having another sale and I hear another vendor has been added to their group, so I'm excited to check that out. Mighty Swell Vintage is also having a sale and I've yet to attend one of their events. And I've heard rumors that my two favorite birds are having a garage sale too, so I think I just might have to swing by that as well. I also hear my cousin may have another bag of goodies for me too, but we'll see what comes of that.
After this weekend though, no more summer buying. I have plenty of things I haven't worn much or at all yet so you know what, we're getting to the halfway point of summer, so gotta stop adding to the pile! Save a little money and then start shopping for fall! Might seem hard to believe but it will be here before we know it!

I can't wait to see you on Saturday! I've been taggin like a mad woman and I am only about half done! I bet you will find a lot of great stuff at all the vintage sales this weekend! Love it! Vintage will def. be in the air this weekend. Have you ever checked out Flamingos on Cedar? Their sale starts today/tomorrow and runs through Saturday. I always find something when I pop in there! :) Have a great day, Beth! xo
ReplyDeleteyou look great in pink! and haha I got poses that I always do too
ReplyDeleteI do the exact same 2 poses every time! You've got to go with what works for you!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun weekend!
ReplyDeleteI get that- indoor pictures don't look as good as outdoor ones, usually. I thought I knew how to stand in front of my camera and tripod until I took it outside in the world recently and now I feel like I don't know how to stand there and I've been deleting tons of photos because I'm making a strange face most of the time! Have fun shopping!!!

Good luck with your summer shopping ban (once it begins, of course!). I've been on a sort of ban... I realized I hadn't bought any clothing since May, I think, but I've been on more of a home decor kick lately. I love all the pink in your outfit!
ReplyDeleteI did one of those and I was 10 times worse with buying after it ended! Your outfit is so pretty and feminine- I love seeing pretty pinks! Lovely Bethie!
ReplyDeleteCan't get enough of pink!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had tons of thrifting and garage sales to go to! Wicked jealous girl. Have fun and I can't wait to see what you find!

I snap about 10 pictures of my outfit a day, and I swear, there are a few times when I get ones that look sooooo alike, just like these two! I'm so jelly that there are many thrifting events where you live! I wish that was the same here!

Such a sweet look! I love the pink full skirt with that very cute cardi. The edging is a nice detail.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely in the same boat with shopping. My closet is slowly bursting at the seams, and I'm trying to edit it down. I not only need to not shop until fall I need to start saving up to replace all the heeled boots I sold. I need to find some nice flat ones for my poor knees!
I love when you wear pink :) I think it's a great color on you! I know what you mean about not over shopping. I have too much clothes now and nowhere to put it! It's just so hard to pass up a good deal
ReplyDeleteyou look great in pink!!
ReplyDeletelol I'm horrible and posing as well, I have like 3 and that's it. oh well. Have fun at the sales, sounds like you'll probably find some great things. Anyway I love all the pink and the necklace looks cool too.
ReplyDeleteI was always so awful at those picture games, it took me forever to figure out what was different in those. (And yeah, Highlights was the bomb. Is it still around? I haven't seen it on a magazine rack in forever.)
ReplyDeleteI love the shalloped hem on your cardigan, it's such a great detail! (And that pink skirt is so pretty, I could see it being really easy to remix.) You made me laugh when you mentioned not being ready for the winter photo taking, I so agree! It's not even the middle of July and I'm already dreading it. ^_^
Wow, those two photos are SO similar - crazy mad photography skillz :o
ReplyDeletePink is so pretty on you, and I love all the layers and the asymmetrical hem on the skirt.
