So it was another one of those days where I woke up and was like "man, what am I going to wear?" And then I remembered, OMG SHOES. I got these awesome shoes at the consignment store last weekend and I wore them to church, but you guys didn't get to see them! So I pulled an outfit together for the sole purpose of wearing them today!
Shoes don't count on the summer shopping ban, at least these don't because I can wear them this winter with tights or nylons. But they look great without too! They're just so fun and the heel is HIGH. Someone asked me this morning if I can go a whole day comfortably in shoes like this. I said yes, but only because I sit at a desk all day! When I wore them to church to sing with my music group, we stand a lot and by the time mass was over my feet were killing me. Sitting is no problem at all though! Hooray for desk jobs!
Here's a a little close up of the shoes below, along with my quickly fading pedicure. I should get another one before the summer is over! Anyway, I love these shoes and I got them for a good deal, so that makes me happy too.
My jewelry party is tonight! I am excited not just for the jewelry but also to have all my favorite women over to my house for drinks and appetizers too. Sometimes it's nice to spend time with the girls! I made a peach sangria from scratch, thank you Pinterest, hoping it turns out decently enough, I'll taste it after work and I'll be sure to report back if it's good!
Outfit rundown:
Tank top - Mossimo, Target
Sweater - Old Navy (old)
Capris - Express (thrifted)
Shoes - Madden Girl (thrifted)
Jewelry - S&D (of course, with the party tonight!)
Adorable shoes. And your toes are so cute! My polish never looks that good.
ReplyDeleteFor a last minute outfit, I think you did a fantastic job! Those shoes are to die for. I don't wear heels much due to back pain, but I do enjoy wearing them to church. I can handle them for a couple of hours :) Have a great jewelry party!
ReplyDeleteYay for new shoes! They're so fun!! Please report back on the peach sangria. I had some at Applebees and it was heaven...must recreate it myself :)

ReplyDeleteCute shoes! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shoes :) xoxox
ReplyDeleteThe shoes are great! And they are a great color. Gray will go with just about anything. I'm sure you'll find a million and a half ways to style them before winter. And I know what you mean! My high heels are usually reserved for days I am sitting at my desk a lot - always easier!

That is one amazing outfit! A good high heel can make a great difference in posture--or it may be just your confidence showing through :)

Cute shoes! It's so great to find awesome shoes at a thrift store or consignment shop because it's so hard! I think it's the hardest thing to get second hand! Have a great day!

This ensemble looks GREAT on you! Not many people can wear cropped pants like that and look good-but they are rockin' on you! And the shoes are definitely gorgeous-hooray for thrift stores!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute shoes, and love the cropped pants and elegant cardi. I have bought two pairs of shoes this summer with high heels, great for standing and photos, but not walking. My boss bought both pairs from me. She has the gift, like Carrie Bradshaw, of walking great distances in super high heels :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome shoes! I loved the ruched ruffle top.
ReplyDeleteThe whole outfit you put together with them looks great. Such a bonus that they'll transition from one season to the next.
Love the shoes! And such an adorable outfit. I love pink and gray.
