Twas the day before Thanksgiving and I have to work. The Pants Monkey is asleep, all snug in our bed, with visions of a lazy day dancing in his head. And I am jealous!
Oh well, at least I look cute! Even if these purples don't totally match up, I felt like they still kind of work together somewhat. I'm kind of excited I'm managing to extend the life of this maxi skirt a bit beyond summer.
Sweater - Daisy Fuentes, from Lynne

I also realized I'm wearing a lot of gifted items today - all through this wonderful blogging community. That makes me smile. You are all wonderful people and I am so thankful for each and every one of you!!
I have to be honest, up until about yesterday I was feeling a little blase about the upcoming holidays and that it was all happening so fast, too fast, but today I am giddy. I am so excited for Thanksgiving and then for mine and Mr. Monkey's birthdays this weekend. And I'm starting to get excited for Christmas. It will be a crazy time, but I'm ready to embrace it! Bring it on!!
I'll probably post my Thanksgiving outfit
Purple is a good color on you. I have to work too, though fortunately I can work from home since everyone else is on vacation.
ReplyDeleteI've been the same! Up until a few days ago I was not excited for the holidays but now I couldn't be more pumped. I even whipped out the Christmas music :) Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI think the look totally works! I love that skirt :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm at work today too but hopefully the day will go by quick :) Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Beth!

Ooh, I love the chevron stripes on that skirt! So cool. That top is so cute and flattering on you-the jewelry jazzes it up so much. How exciting for birthdays coming your way! Have a lovely day at work and a fantastic weekend dear! :D

ReplyDeleteYAY for Friday off! you look great in purple friend!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
Who cares if they don't match - they go great! I think purples are one of the most difficult colors to put together with things, but this works just perfect. Also you make me want a similar skirt every time you wear that one. It's probably one of my favorite pieces on you.
ReplyDeleteOh! And congrats on the extra day off!
ReplyDeleteYou're a lucky girl with that day off!!! :-) I have to work and I'm not looking forward to the public transit on Black Friday.
ReplyDeleteI love that purple skirt so much. Your whole look is gorgeous, but I have a passionate love of stripes.
Bethie! I'm seeing your new blog design for the first time! And I really love it, it's so charming :) Love your maxi skirt (can't beat chevrons). I'd like to get drinks/apps/coffee with your very much sometime soon, sorry I haven't been around lately to see your comment! Let's get the plan set :)
