Yep, you will see I look cold in these pictures. But the light has been decent in the morning so I've been wanting to take pictures outside again. I'll have to try to do a better job of hiding it! When it's 20 degrees that is a bit of a challenge though!
Dress - Axcess by Clairborne, thrifted

Boots - Target, old

I have been finding on these cold days I've been gravitating towards pants because it's easy and well, I don't want to be cold. But I have fun colored tights that are begging to be worn and many skirts and dresses and boots that work well in winter, so I need to suck it up and wear them! Besides, I'm from Minnesota, I'm supposed to be tough when it comes to the cold!
We've been spoiled by warmer weather though lately and so these cold days are harder to take! I mostly like the warmer weather even if it is a bit unnatural - but at this time of year I won't lie, I do want some snow. It just doesn't feel like Christmas without it! We had a brown Christmas last year, I'm really hoping that won't happen this year! I hear it might snow this weekend. Here's hoping!
We truly have been spoiled, haven't we?!?! Today walking into work I was wondering why I was chilly with my coat unbuttoned, no gloves and no hat! LOVE this dress and your necklace is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteQuestion, do you sell Stella and Dot?! Just curious I am interested in the line :)
I hear you on the weather, it's been crazy! When it gets cold, I tend to gravitate towards pants too. I just hate pants, lol! This is a really cute dress, a great thrifted find. Great necklace too! Heather
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you can wear a dress when it's that cold. I'm freezing at 45 degrees :) Love the fall colors in your outfit. This is a very nice look on you.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean wearing pants when it's cold out, but boots, tights and leggings makes it a little easier to wear dresses and skirts. I love the outfit today!
ReplyDeleteI adore those boots!
ReplyDeleteI like the necklace for a bit of sparkle!
ReplyDeleteWe're still in rainy season here - it hasn't started getting really cold yet. We only had a couple of days of snow all last year...
I like to wear pants too over skirts/dresses too in the winter. Soon I think I'll have to add on a jacket or take my blog photos inside.

ReplyDeleteBethie! BOO! LOL, LOVE THE BOOTS!!! and ...your vest/jacket is cool too.
ReplyDeleteYes, aren't those leopard flats the BOMB?
(the bomb? i don't think i have ever said that or typed that before!) LOL
Those boots are gorgeous!! I think the layers work really well with the dress. And you don't look THAT cold!
ReplyDeleteI love this dress! and while I agree that a white Christmas is very enticing, I would love it if it could be white just for the day and then get warm :)
ReplyDeleteI have been totally spoiled by the warm weather, but it has still feels too cold for tights. I fully admit to not being tough. MN is cold!
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh. I have a shivery pic from last week I haven't shared on the blog yet. But it's been 70 degrees this week. My wardrobe is so confused.
ReplyDeleteWay cool thrifted print dress; the S&D necklace looks great with it.
You did a great job of winterizing this outfit, I love all of the colors! Awww, you do look cold, but I admire your dedication!
ReplyDeleteOoh these colors look so amazing together. The combo really brings out the print in the dress. Sorry about the cold! It's cooling off here quick. Brrr!
ReplyDeleteyou layer like a pro, lady. This outfit rocks- I really like your short sleeved sweater over that dress. It looks so awesome!
ReplyDeletePretty dress! I love the colors and all of your layers! I am just fine with the warm(er) weather and lack of snow! The longer it holds off, the better, in my opinion!
ReplyDeleteOoooh this print is super fun!
