Celebrations and a favorite quote

So you may recall that last week I went to a wedding for a high school classmate.  Before we went I had Mr. Monkey take a few pictures of my outfit, though we used my iPhone so I apologize that the quality isn't that great.  It was an absolutely beautiful day for a wedding and I had so much fun wearing this vintage inspired dress that the lovely Cambria of Jupe was kind enough to hand down to me!

We had a nice time at the wedding, it was good chatting with some people we haven't seen in over ten years as some of them hadn't made it to our 10 year reunion a couple of years ago.  It was also fun learning about how our friend met his fiance, now wife.  They are a match made in heaven and I wish them all the best!


Today's Blog Every Day in May theme is a favorite quote.  I have SO many quotes that I love and adore, it's so hard to pick just one.  I think today I'd pick the ending line to one of my favorite movies, The Muppet Movie - "Life's like a movie, write your own ending.  Keep believing, keep pretending."  I think it's so true, our lives are a movie we're living and it's up to us to write the script and figure out how it's all going to end.  Just gotta keep believing in ourselves!

I'm also sending a shout out with this outfit to Ada of Elegance and Mommyhood for her birthday celebration.  I figured this party dress is good for more than just a wedding!

    Thanks for the shot-out. This dress is Gorgeous. I, too love the color & the style. Shirt-dresses are very in right now. ;-) Love the accessories you chose to pair it with, too.
