What does one do on another gray, rainy day? Wear happy bright colors! This is a color inspiration I saw on Pinterest, but honestly, it's a color combination I've loved for years. I've always loved to color in coloring books, it's something my mom and I would do together on vacations (and I still do, it's sooo relaxing!). There was nothing better than a brand new box of Crayola 64 Crayons. And my favorite two colors I'd always pull out and put together were called "Melon" and "Sea Green" - not unlike my peach and mint here!
T-shirt - Mudd, Kohls
Jeans - JCPenney
Necklace - Charming Charlie
Sandals - Marshalls
I currently own a box of Crayola Crayons that has I believe 98 colors in it or something like that. It's awesome and yes I'm 31, I don't care, I love my crayons! And now they have weird color options like "Macaroni and Cheese".
And now because I'm being a nostalgic dork, I'll leave you with this old clip from Sesame Street about how crayons are made that I was fascinated with as a child. Apparently there was an episode of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood that showed how crayons were made too, but this is what I remember!
I still love to color too! My favorite color that I wanted to use was Cornflower (the bluish color). I loved that one!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really great color combo. Coral has been my favorite color crush as of right now :) Heather
This is such a pretty color combination! One of my favorites of yours! I enjoy a new box of Crayolas too...there is something very soothing about coloring :)

ReplyDeleteI love it! The colors and the fact that you still color! I used to be big on colored pencils, I would just shade things in all of the time, great ways to relax!

I LOVED the Mr. Rogers episode about how crayons were made!! So funny! That video brought me back! :) Hope you're having a great day, Beth!
ReplyDeleteOh my, you and I would be friends! I love new boxes of crayons too. Even when I was an older child I would still sometimes get a new big box as a gift with a precious moments coloring book :) haha! I actually remember the Mr. Rogers clip of the crayons being made and I was fascinated by that too! Maybe it's the schoolteacher in me :)
ReplyDeleteLove your color combo here and especially the cut of your top, it's like a really special tshirt!
I still totally have a box of crayons. And pencil crayons. And Mr. Sketch. I used to say I needed to have them for when I was in Education, but now that I'm not... I still love them! Colouring with the Mac and Cheese crayon always made me hungry...

Lovelovelove this color combo! I have an entire cup and tray full of pens, color pencils, markers in every color imaginable.
ReplyDeleteI used to love shaving down crayons, putting them between wax paper and ironing them. My babysitter (a sweet old lady) taught me to do that when I was little. Makes me wish I had some crayons right now.
Such a cute color combo!!
ReplyDeleteWe used to always color in study hall in high school, and I still love coloring with my niece when she'll let me. :) It's so peaceful to me for some reason! haha. So this may be one of my favorite outfits of yours! I love the unexpected color combination, and that tee is so cute and comfy that it makes me want to go out and buy it in every color. :)

This is one of your best outfits. I love it. It also reminds me of Crayons. but of Neon, too.
ReplyDeletethis is one of my favorite outfits of yours! you look great in those bright, cheerful colors!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! And I too loved coloring. :) Especially Barbie books - not because I liked Barbie (I didn't) but because I loved coloring the clothes. :) I still color but these days it is usually cars and superheros and transformers. Not nearly as stylish but way more fun with my little man.
ReplyDeleteWhen we moved house when I was 13, I had my new bedroom done to match the "Burnt Siena" crayon! And my living room chair and curtains are a darker, redder shade of burnt orange... Crayola imprinted me?
ReplyDeleteWow! Those colours are beautiful together, you look great - kapow to the bad weather!
ReplyDeleteI love the peach and mint together. You look chic and fresh. I really like the elegant simplicity of this outfit.
