Two outfits for the price of one today! I am giving you today and tomorrow's pins for the Pinned It Spinned It challenge. Today's is cutie Taylor Swift in a striped top and red skirt. I don't have a red skirt, but I have red pants!
I just picked this top up at the Goodwill. I stopped in after getting off of work early one day this week because darn it, the Goodwill just happens to be on the way to my parents house from work, so I popped in before picking up Ollie. I found a few nice spring tops and a pair of jeans, so that was nice. I know it's going to sound like "oh my diamond shoes are too tight and my wallet is too small for my 50's" but I've lost a lot of weight and am down even from my pre-pregnancy weight thanks to the nursing, but it means none of my clothes fit. I'm slowly working on that because I don't want to feel so frumpy!
I decided to add a blazer to this look yesterday because while it was still very nice out, it wasn't as warm as it was on Wednesday, so I wanted to have an extra layer.
Denim blazer - American Eagle
Striped top - Kensie, thrifted
Pants - Old Navy
Shoes - Calvin Klein, from cousin
Necklace - Clothes Mentor
Since it's casual Friday, I decided to do the pin for Saturday/Sunday for the Pinned It Spinned It challenge today. I love being able to wear jeans on Fridays! I love the color combo in this fun pin - of course I love anything peach/orange/coral! This sweater I also picked up from the Goodwill fits the bill nicely!
Sweater - H&M, thrifted
Tank top - Old Navy
Jeans - Express, thrifted
Shoes - Qupid, DSW
Bag - Lulu's
Necklace - Lia Sophia
My goal is to keep the weight I've lost off even after I no longer have to nurse Oliver. Now I hope to nurse him until at least his first birthday, but I'm starting to put things in place to keep my healthy weight before that time. I'm picking up running again, I'm joining a mom's running group that starts up at the end of the month, so I'm looking forward to that! My sweet sister-in-law gave me some shoes that weren't working for her too, so I'm giving those bad boys a try this weekend as long as the weather holds! My mom is also coming over to help me organize and cull my closet a bit. I need to figure out what fits, what doesn't and cut things loose that don't work anymore. I do that every spring anyway, but it's especially needed now!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and that you're enjoying spring weather wherever you are!
You are looking amazing, Beth! It's awesome that you've lost so much weight and it's definitely a good excuse for some shopping :) The red and stripes outfit is really cute and I love how you made it your own with the chambray blazer!

Good luck with the running program! <3
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable in both pics! I was going to say that you look like you have lost weight, but I have always thought of you as on the thin side. I am pretty sure that I didn't even realize you were pregnant for awhile there!
ReplyDeleteYay! running is fuuuun! I just started again last night, just one mile. I feel like when you get to 2 & 3 miles, it is harder, but once you find your pace you are good. Have a great weekend!
Great take on this outfit! Love your striped top and red pants! Have a good weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI think dealing with clothes that no longer fit whether it's weight loss or gain can be a bit of a bummer. It's like saying good-bye to old friends! But I congratulate and admire you for taking the path that leads to health, whether that's loss or gain, (depends on the person. :D)
ReplyDeleteHi Beth. Catching up with your blog over the past 4 weeks I hadn't been here. I like both Outfits but I love the first one. The Denim Blazer was a great addition. Let me know more about the Pinned it and Spinned it Challenge. Is it a link up? I am doing my own challenge of a 30 for 30 remix, this month. Come take a peek. =)
ReplyDeleteYou are looking great too. Nursing definitely helps with losing weight. I nursed Vivian until she was about 13 months. It was very difficult taking her off of it because it was her comfort zone more than just being fed. But ultimately she became a better eater because of it.
