--Currently I am--
Loving....summer, even if there's been a chill in the air the last couple of days, it's been a decent summer so far, we have spent tons of time outside and I love that.
Wishing....for peace for a few people in my life that I think could use it right now. And also wishing a very happy birthday to my extremely talented friend Jes. She takes all of Ollie's pictures and they are all amazing (post on this coming soon in fact.)
Planning....some projects around the house that just can't seem to take flight. We'll get there eventually, but there is just always something.
Dreading....a dentist appointment tomorrow - routine, but the last one wasn't fun, the way they do x-rays now is awful. I'd rather go through labor again (well, ok maybe not).
Wearing....pajamas and a sweatshirt while having a lazy morning with my baby boy - but I'll be getting dressed soon to take him to the zoo with Nate's cousin.
Excited....for Oliver's first 4th of July and a handful of other events coming up in July.
Wanting....everything! Dang shopping ban. Actually there isn't much, but I have been itching to get a new purse or pair of shoes or something. Macy's giftcard may come to the rescue here.
Thinking.....way too much as usual. Trying not to get bogged down by some thoughts and trying not to let my mind take over too much as well. One day at a time.
Watching....finished Orange is the New Black, sad panda. Still doing the West Wing and we'll pick up Under the Dome since it started back up. For comic relief we've been watching the Canadian show Corner Gas again (Hi Cara!).
Eating....better than last month thanks to the CSA starting up again! We had chard last night with garlic scapes and red lettuce with a little bit of leftover pork chops in kind of an Asian themed meal.
Laughing....at things Oliver does almost on the daily, even if I'm having a bad day all I have to do is watch him for a few minutes and I'll be smiling!
Thankful....for awesome gift cards - thanks to Ally of Shybiker, I just received a sweet haul of goodies from Sephora in the mail. Can't wait to try them out.
And that's it. What's up with you?
I'm glad you are getting a few extra days for yourself this week! I hope you enjoy them! I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday!
ReplyDeleteAh! So many exciting things! :) I can't wait to see your house projects! And baby's first everythings are always great, Fourth of July is a good one! I am trying to suck it up and like summer this year, it hasn't been too bad yet :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the birthday wishes today dear! <3 to you! Hope you are enjoying your extra days off :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Corner Gas. I can't say I really got into it, but I do get that burst of patriotic pride when non-Canadians mention it. Did you know they're currently filming a movie for it?
ReplyDeleteAh, I hate going to the dentist, too. It's never good. The last time I went, my dentist wasn't all that nice...so I haven't been back since. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you linked up with us today!
Oohh, sometimes I wish I hadn't yet watched the West Wing so that I had it there waiting for me... sooo good. I've got my CSA box to pick up tomorrow and admit I've been at a loss for what to do with all this chard - but your dish sounds great. Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteI didn't link up to this blog hop but I found it and since I'm just browsing some blogs tonight thought I would stop by and say hey! by the way, there's been a chill in our summer here too. I'm from the Panhandle of Texas and it's seriously 67 degrees outside right now. WOW! lol. Anyways, I'm excited to be following along via GFC and Bloglovin! yay for a new blogging buddy!
ReplyDeleteGlad to be part of the "Thankful" segment! And did you have Oliver just for the entertainment he provides?!
ReplyDeleteYou do whatever you want on your blog, Beth. We will keep reading! I ALWAYS dread dentist appointments. I don't know why since I have never had a bad experience. I just have major dental anxiety. Have a happy 4th! Oliver's first! How exciting!
ReplyDeleteYay for gift cards! I also seem to get the shopping bug bad when I'm trying to avoid spending money, haha. Have fun celebrating the 4th with Oliver!

When you're done working your way through your shows, look up BBC ones. Amazon has quite a few and they are super good. Foyle's War and Ballykissangel were my shows of choice this last winter!
ReplyDeleteCelebrating the 4th will be so much fun! I love watching kids experience new things. Make those memories!!!
Enjoy the gift card haul! Those are always the best. :)
