Hey everyone! Back at it after a lovely three day weekend. I wish all weekends were three days, no joke! Anyway, I am playing along with two birds Inspiration Monday once again - I saw this very casual get up from Gwen Stefani and I was like - that's a mom weekend uniform if I ever saw one! (Side note, I want her bag!! And also, where are her son's shoes?)
This was a perfect look for a lazy Sunday with my boys - well ok we weren't that lazy, we went to the zoo for what I think is Oliver's fourth time now. It's so nice having it so close and it's a nice place to walk around a bit. It wasn't even that crowded this time so we had a pretty easy time getting close to the animals and such.
Of course we ended up there right around Ollie's naptime, so he ended up sleeping through part of it again. This time he mostly slept through the Conservatory where all the plants are though. We grabbed lunch outside after that since it was still pretty nice out. It was supposed to rain yesterday but fortunately it held off until the evening!
Sweater - Arizona Jean Co (JCPenney), Tank top - Maurices
Boyfriend jeans - Old Navy, Necklace - Zulily, Sandals - Target
The rest of the weekend was pretty darn good too I must say - I scored some good deals for Oliver at the Just Between Friends sale on Friday (more on this later this week), Saturday I got to enjoy a quick coffee date with the awesome Lori while she was in town and then in the evening Nate and I enjoyed a fun summer party at a friends house. Overall it was just one of those weekends that left me smiling at the end - which I must say has been a common occurrence this summer!

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! Love your casual outfit! I haven't been to the zoo yet this year! Ollie's been to the zoo more than me!! Hmmm - I'm thinking Steve and I will have to plan a trip soon!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! Love your sandals.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'n not the only ho thought about his shoe. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteLMAO! That's the style now, no shoes for kids. I think you look lovely! That cardigan is lovely and reminds me that I need to get some more for fall.
ReplyDeleteI love Gwen Stefani's style most of the time anyway. I'm currently still living in my maternity trousers as the elastic sits really high rather than across my c-section incision. I'm threatening to go buy jogging pants or yoga pants in the hope that they will be just as comfy but will mean that I don't feel quite so silly.
ReplyDeleteLove that cardigan. Then again I love stripes and patterns. (She says realising that today she's in a navy baggy youth work t-shirt and blue maternity jeans. So no patterns in sight!)
Cute sweater and shoes! Sounds like a great place to visit!
ReplyDeleteOh you look so comfy and cozy! I have boyfriend jeans like yours and never know what to wear with them. Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend! And I love this casual look on you! That sweater is so fun!

ReplyDeleteYou look super fabulous, and I love how you took this inspiration and made it your own. I don't know what I like more, your cool as cool can be bird necklace or your perfectly ripped faded denim. Seriously that denim is perfect. ;-) You rock!
