Oliver's First State Fair

Here is Oliver's first State Fair visit as told by Oliver.

On Friday my mommy and daddy got me up early and instead of going to grandma's like I usually do we ended up at this big place with lots of people and interesting smells. They told me it was called the State Fair and that I had been there before but when I was still in mommy's tummy.  It was a lot to take in first thing in the morning, I had to chew on my favorite monkey for a little bit of comfort.

Mommy and daddy started their day with this thing called a crepe and mommy had coffee.  They said I couldn't have any.  I kind of wanted it, but I was too interested in all the people around us!

We went over by something they said was a new entrance and area that replaced their old favorite Heritage Square.  It was called West End Market.  We tried to take a family picture but daddy kind of cut off my head a bit.

After that I was getting kind of tired from all the stuff that we saw.  I really tried to stay awake but eventually gave up and took a nap in my stroller.

When I woke up we found my grandparents on my daddy's side and my great aunt and cousins.  We spent some time with them and I loved playing with my grandma's hat!

Then Mommy and Daddy went to a place at the fair that they like to listen to live music.  They got some french fries and let me have one.  I wasn't that interested in it, I didn't know what the hype was all about.  I'd rather eat cauliflower!

Actually I really wanted my daddy's beer.  They wouldn't let me have that though.

The rest of the day I ended up snoozing in my stroller some more but I woke up in time for a fun ride - they called it a carousel and it went up and down and round and round.  It was really pretty fun!

I can't wait to go back next year! They tell me by then I will be running around.  I don't know what that is, but it sounds pretty fun to me!
