It's Thrift Style Thursday again! Today's theme is Wild, Wild West (and side note, I can't get that Will Smith song out of my head). I was originally thinking something gingham for today, but then I remembered this flannel I have that I thrifted for myself shortly after Oliver was born and decided it fit the theme even better thanks to the ruffles.
It has gotten cold here already, highs in the 50s - so a flannel seemed like a nice cozy choice! I seem to wear this dress for a lot of Thrift Style Thursday looks - but I liked the idea of wearing the flannel with a long skirt and then belting it, so the dress is back again! The dress isn't even the thrifted item, I just like it a lot!

I'm really not much of a country music fan, so I don't think I'd make a very good cowgirl! I used to go line dancing with some friends in college though and that used to be a good time. I don't think this would be a good line dancing outfit though, I'd be tripping over my skirt!
Anyway, I like this soft approach to a country/western feel for today. It's warm for a cold day and it suits me! Head on over to our Thrift Style Thursday group on Facebook and see other thrifted western looks!
I love it. And I'm envious. Still almost 90 here. I wish I was there.
ReplyDeleteI loooove your Wild Wild West look! The flannel shirt is perfect with that dress-turned-maxi-skirt!! (It really does make a very pretty skirt!) Love it all! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so chic and has a touch of boho to it as well, LOVE IT!

LOL That damn song!!!!! Now I'm not going to get it out of my head! I chose line dancing as an elective in middle school. There was a bar that let under 18s in every Wednesday or something and my friends and I would go there, line dance and think we were hot stuff being 13 in a bar. LOL
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute look! I don't like country music either, barf. But I do like flannels though!
ReplyDeleteYou know, whenever I see people wearing a belt 'tied' like that I want to try it myself, but I just can't seem to make it work somehow :-S
ReplyDeleteThat flannel is perfect for the theme this week. I'm hoping to jump back on the TST train next week!
